It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Hi guys!  So, due to wanting to finish commissions in a timely manner, wanting to be completely prepared with school, having two small jobs that will be ending soon but need my full attention regardless, computer problems that have been plaguing me for a few months now, and a few personal reasons, Lies That Bind is going on hiatus.  For how long?  Hopefully not any longer than two weeks.  I also really need to work on getting myself a buffer, so I will be working on the comic, but not posting any pages for a bit.

I love Lies That Bind, but I'm not getting paid to do it.  (also a part of me wants to write it and publish it in book form, since it turns out I'm quite terrible at comics, but no one would read it so I will just keep that part quiet and keep practicing).  I will have a filler up in the next few days.  Probably done traditionally due to the afore mentioned computer problems.

I love you guys and I'm sorry about the unexpected break!

How are you all doing?  Any fun plans for the rest of the summer?  (or winter?)
