The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

I'm alive.  Kind of.  I'm at work!

JOIN MY SECRET SANTA AT #OthersOCs!  DO ITTTTT.

TOMODACHIFEST WAS SO AWESOME.

and her friend who might have a DA but I'm not sure but anyway it was AWESOME! We had so much fun! Totally hung out with

like all weekend and that was a blast, and I got to hang out with

and aagh so much fun. We were in the same room as them and

and a bunch of really awesome people who I can't remember all of you but it was a blast!  We made next to no money, but it was way fun and I got to draw on grab bags with a brush pen and nothing is better than that.  XP  It was fun to have a con where I got to leave pretty early every day and hang out with super awesome friends!

I forgot the picture I was going to scan so don't expect anything new (unless you follow me on Tumblr where I don't feel bad about posting my stupid sketches) until Friday.  MAAAAYBE tomorrow night I'll have a little bit of time to scan stuff in.  Maybe.  XD

So anyway, how are you all doing?

I'm just slowly being buried but school is ALMOST OVER.  I wouldn't be so buried if I could kick my Skyward Sword addiction but pfft school is less important AM I RIGHT?

Don't know when I'll be moving.  HC and I have been looking everywhere and we can't find a place that allows the cats without making us pay upwards of 900 dollars just to have them that isn't a big stinky awful place.  Ah well, we'll figure it out!

Anyway hope things are well and love you all!  Oh commissions will be going up in price in a few days just so you're all aware!
